Dan White farms Wedacre Farm near Gisburn, Lancashire — not far from Skipton — alongside his brother Craig, the third generation of the White family on the land, who moved from Hawes as sheep farmers in 1948 before turning to dairy. Today the farm runs 600 pedigree Danish Red dairy cows, milked through a 50-point rotary parlour. Looking to refurbish an existing shed, Dan fitted Marlon CST Heatguard to bring new life to a building that had become old and dingy.
How Heatguard Transformed the Shed
The difference was immediate — far more natural light, and an end to a problem that had dogged the building for years.

The Results
Since the refurbishment, Dan has seen a genuine improvement in the herd’s performance — both in how much they’re eating and how well they’re breeding.
“Following the refurb, the improved environment has resulted in an increase in the cows’ dry matter intake, and fertility and conception rates have improved.”
