Heatguard Roofing Solutions Northern Ireland

Heatguard is a high-performance corrugated polycarbonate sheeting designed to provide optimal light transmission while significantly reducing solar heat gain. It is engineered to create a brighter and more comfortable environment within agricultural and equestrian buildings, contributing to the overall wellbeing and productivity of livestock.

Heatguard incorporates an advanced heat reflective pigment that allows high levels of natural daylight to penetrate the building while minimising the amount of solar heat transmitted. This ensures that the internal temperature remains controlled and comfortable, which is crucial for maintaining the health and productivity of animals.

Available in three pigment intensities, Heatguard offers versatile light transmission options:

  • HG100 (RG): 10% light transmission
  • HG50 (EGWR): 20% light transmission
  • HG25 (COQ): 36% light transmission

These options allow for customisation based on specific building requirements, ensuring that the right balance of natural light is achieved.

The heatguard sheets are capable of reducing solar heat gain by up to 68%, making them an excellent choice for maintaining a cooler interior environment. This reduction in heat gain is particularly beneficial during the hotter months, enhancing animal comfort and reducing the need for additional cooling measures.

Heatguard sheets are 8 times lighter than traditional fibre cement sheets, which simplifies handling and installation. Despite their lightweight nature, they are highly durable and impact-resistant, ensuring a long lifespan even in demanding environments.

The multiwall structure of the Heatguard sheets adds insulation and rigidity, contributing to their overall performance. This design helps in maintaining structural integrity while providing additional thermal insulation benefits.

These sheets can be used as a complete roof covering or integrated with other roofing materials like fibre cement sheeting. Their versatility makes them suitable for a wide range of agricultural and equestrian applications.

Manufactured using superior materials, Heatguard is built to withstand various weather conditions. The sheets are UV protected on the upper surface, ensuring long-term resistance to weathering and maintaining their performance over time.

Heatguard comes with an industry-leading 15-year warranty for the UK and Ireland, covering light transmission and weather breakage. This warranty provides peace of mind, ensuring that the investment is protected.

"Future proofed roofing for dairy farmers becoming the go-to option"

“The research trial, carried out by Dr Tom Chamberlain, a UK specialist in the effects of heat stress on cattle, showed that by lowering the temperature in the dairy shed, the Marlon CST Heatguard sheet produced a 70% reduction in the predicted loss of milk yield caused by heat stress in the cows when compared to traditional fibre cement roofing.”
